The One Where Everything Goes Wrong…

That time I tore a chunk out of my tire in Arlington.

So, today I was supposed to host a gymnastics seminar from 1:00-2:30, speed up to the Ranger’s game at 3:00 and speed home to babysit for my aunt at about 6:15.

So naturally it all went to hell.

First, the seminar wasn’t supposed to be this weekend. It was supposed to be next weekend but was moved up due to July 4th weekend. So, we didn’t have time to advertise it at all. Two people signed up. It was canceled. So I went out to the Ranger’s game. On the way there, Crazy Aunt R told me that she didn’t need me to babysit. …well okay! I’ll just stay until the end of the Ranger’s game.

It was about that time when my head started going places… I immediately called Blanca and asked if we could get together. Her wild and crazy idea was to go see Bad Teacher at the mall. Done.
So we went to the 8:15 showing of Bad Teacher. It was great seeing Blanca by the way, thanks for asking. 😉

As I was leaving, I called my brother and told him I was heading home. Pulled out of the parking lot….and side-swiped a curb. SURPRISE. Wasn’t even on the phone. I immediately pulled over into a parking lot to check for rim damage on my wheel. Finding none, I was shocked. I then checked again. I had managed to tear a huge chunk out of my tire.
A chunk.
At 10:15 at night.
In Arlington.
I live 45 minutes away.
So I did what every 21 year old girl in my situation would do…I took off my over-shirt, fixed up my hair, and walked on up to the guys who were getting off work at Academy. When they proved useless, I called my dad. x . x

To make a longer story only long instead of ridiculous, dad (henceforth known as super!dad) and Theresa came out to Arlington to help me figure out what was going on. We had to:
– Figure out how to get the back of my truck open
– Figure out how to get the spare compartment open
– Figure out how to actually GET the spare
– Figure out where the jack should be
– Figure out where the jack actually was
Meanwhile, Theresa’s on the phone with AAA trying to get them there in case we couldn’t make it. We ended up not needing them…thank goodness.

So! Super!dad and Theresa came to save the day and the world can slowly keep turning.

I guess to make this post relevant I should say that I spent $120 on clothes/shoes today. Only $25 or so of that were Harry Potter shirts. >_>

I bought 2 pairs of shorts at Kohl’s, a pair of shorts and a pair of AWESOME shoes at JCPenney, 1 HP shirt from Hot Topic in Frisco, 1 HP shirt from Hot Topic in Arlington, 1 Hunger Games shirt from Hot Topic in Arlington, and 1 Little Mermaid shirt from Hot Topic in Arlington.

Of course, I wasn’t counting on having to buy a new tire tomorrow…guh. AND I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday. After talking to the dentist assistant about a jaw locking problem I’ve been having, she was talking about a $450 appliance. AND I’m chopping/dyeing all of my hair on the Tuesday AFTER that…and that’s going to be esspensive too.

I’m starting to get nervous.

On that note…anyone want to hire me to babysit? xD
