I Should Have Known

Finished: N/A. Next up: Spy High.

Going into my next category, #36 A Book Set in High School, I should have known what to expect content-wise. Instead, I started with these high expectations and then struggled to get past page 10. In fact, I put the book down for a month and took up fanfiction instead. It wasn’t until today that I picked up the book, determined to finish it in its entirety.

Spy High is a book written for…let’s say younger readers. It’s a book revolving around Bond Team, a group of six teenagers who attend a high school for spies instead of their normal studies. However, they’re having a bit of trouble….wait for it….bonding.
Evidently, these troubles span an entire book. The team gets sent on a “camping trip” to “bond” but end up meeting this insane evil genius who’s a direct descendant of, I kid you not, Frankenstein…who is not, in fact, a book character–but an actual person in history.

Let’s just say I’m glad to be through of it and leave it at that?

Next step…I still have to finish the trilogy. I’ve yet to start the third book. But I also might decide to read Lamb by Christopher Moore (#50 A Book You Started But Never Finished) instead.

Who knows! I’ll keep you posted.
