It took me less than 24 hours to complete The Deepest Night by Kara Braden (#42 A Book You’ve Owned but Never Read). It was just plain fun. I got sucked into the whirlwind romance of Michelle and Ray during last nights storms and couldn’t really get them out of my head until I finished the book.
It wasn’t a particularly challenging read. It was just, well, brain candy.
I guess now the question becomes, should I change its category (since I finished it in a day… # 27) or keep it as in and try for another book to be finished in a day? After all, there are quite a few other books that I’ve owned for a long time that I might not be able to finish in a day. Quite the dilemma we have here. Such conundrum. Much thinking.

A bank of clouds was assembling on the not-so-distant horizon, but journalist-mountaineer Jon Krakauer, standing on the summit of Mt. Everest, saw nothing that “suggested that a murderous storm was bearing down.” He was wrong. The storm, which claimed five lives and left countless more–including Krakauer’s–in guilt-ridden disarray, would also provide the impetus for Into Thin Air, Krakauer’s epic account of the May 1996 disaster. – Amazon
