It would appear as if I’ve been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I was nominated by Kristyn who goes by travelnerdplans who not only likes musicals but also has been to Egypt, one of my dream locales.

My 11 Questions:
What foods do you crave?
I will eat copious amounts of pasta in any country I visit. It’s probably unhealthy how much pasta I eat.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I have this delightful ability to stay up extremely late, so long as I don’t have to get up at an ungodly hour the next day. I prefer to do the majority of my work in the evening and late at night. In fact, my two years as a teacher in Miami wherein I had to be awake and functional in front of 30 16-year-olds at 7:20am were the worst two years of my life.
Do you prefer cooking at home or eating out?
I do not cook. At all. That said, I don’t like spending money either. When I cook, it’s pasta. When I go out, I tend to purchase whatever’s cheapest…which, oddly enough, is usually pasta. :p
If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
This is a complicated question. I do enjoy London quite a bit. I also enjoy Dallas quite a bit because of my family that resides there. However, politics…local and worldly…are making enjoying any country a bit of a challenge.
What is your favorite movie genre?
As a Film Studies student, I could lie and say something artful like 1920’s French Art House cinema, but that’d be total BS. I love Hollywood just as much as any person. Give me a good Marvel production any day.
What is a major goal you have for your life?
I try not to make large life-altering goals. Currently I have travel goals for Europe. Beyond that? Who knows…
Do you have any interesting quirks or talents?
I was a gymnast for 9 years. I miss it to the very bottom of my core, but I also regret it every day when I wake up with a new ache and pain. It certainly adds an element of adventure to my travels, as I never know what injury will crop up each day.
What was your favorite TV show when you were a kid?
I was all about that Legends of the Hidden Temple and Smart Guy. LotHT was infuriating. Why couldn’t the kids ever put together the damn shrine of the silver monkey?!? And those temple guards? Terrifying. I still fear them.
Where is the farthest you have ever traveled from your home?
Physically? Israel. But the only time I’ve ever felt alone or uncertain amongst my travels has been Latvia. It was unnerving.
Are you a coffee or tea drinker?
Coffee. BUT! I put so much sugar in it so that I can’t taste the coffee, see? Because I enjoy the effects. But coffee itself tastes like ass. (Even still…it’s better than tea. Pshaw. Flower water…)
Do you have any phobias?
I don’t know if I’d consider it a phobia. I definitely fear cockroaches. I know they can’t do anything to me…but they are freaking fracking disgusting. The ones in my old apartment were huge. An inch and a half long. *shudders* I have been known to call people in neighboring towns to come to my house and track down a rampant cockroach. I just can’t handle them.
As for nominating another blog, unfortunately, I am the worst human in the world. I do not read any other blogs, I simply don’t have the time. 😦 Womp womp.
Instead, I promise you that I’ll get started working on my next three trip blogs: Paris, Dubrovnik, and Montenegro.
