Casual Victim of a Bait and Switch

Finished: The Martian. Next up: The One Thing.

So, I started The Martian.  The intention was that I’d finish it before Saturday at 8:35pm when I go see the movie with Polo.

Half a Jar of Salsa Later…

Finished: Ready Player One. Next up: The Casual Vacancy.

Anyone who knows me or has spoken to me (or read my Facebook posts) at all in the last two days knows exactly how much I struggled with #5, A Book with a Number in the TitleReady Player One by Ernest Cline.  That is to say, I didn’t struggle at all to get through it, no, not at all.  I struggled because I had to put it down to go to sleep, go to work, go to my other work, and eventually made the decision to simply stay up to finish. The Theme of the Evening Is…

For the past two nights, I have had the fortune of trying something new.  I assisted a friend in the production and execution of the RoughRider’s Fireworks show.  The first night was a hot mess.  I didn’t know what I was doing.  Silly n00b.  It took us the majority of the game to get the product wired and ready.
